Redefining Health Through Innovation. Pioneering Chemistry for a Better Tomorrow.
Chemically, Castor Oil Derivatives grades are castor oil derivatives. The reaction of hydrogenated castor oil with ethylene oxide yields these non-ionic solubilizers.Numerous cosmetics and personal care products can benefit from their solubilizing and emulsifying abilities. They are good solvents for fragrances, essential oils, and other cosmetic ingredients soluble in oils. They are excellent emulsifiers for both oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsion systems.
Castor Oil are chemically derived from castor oil. These nonionic solubilizers andemulsifying agents are produced by reacting hydrogenated castor oil with ethylene oxide, incorporating both hydrophobic and hydrophilic components. They are virtually flavorless and odorless, making them ideal for dissolving fat-soluble vitamins, fragrances, essential oils, and other hydrophobic compounds. Crysol effectively solubilizes or emulsifies oil-soluble substances, converting them into clear solutions or stable emulsions. Additionally, it enhances the solubility of poorly soluble drugs, particularly those in BCS Class II and Class IV.
The Castor Oil product line makes certain water-insoluble substances more soluble in water. It is compatible with a large number of substances. It facilitates the solubilization of a number of pharmaceutically active components, including Acetaminophen, Bromhexidine HCI, Dextromethorphan HBr, Povidone Iodine, Loxapine Succinate, and vitamins such as Vitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin D, and Vitamin E Acetate, among others. It is also used as a solubilizer and stabiliser for oils and fragrances in the cosmetics industry.
To improve the solubility of inadequately soluble active ingredients such as Cefuroxime Axetil, Cefpodoxime Proxetil, etc., it is typically added between 3.0% and 5.0% w/w of API. It must be combined with the API, either with or without heat, and then dissolved in the vehicle (aqueous or non-aqueous).
The Castor Oil series is an exceptionally flexible nonionic emulsifier. It emulsifies numerous hydrophobic compounds, including fatty acids, fatty alcohols, and mineral oil. It can be used to produce O/W creams and moisturisers and as a skin care stabiliser. It is ideal for emulsifying mineral oil, natural oil, stearyl, etc., due to its exceptional emulsifying properties. It can attain stability when used by itself.
The Castor Oil line enhances softness and moisturisation.
The Castor Oil product line dissolves insoluble hydrocarbon compounds in aqueous systems, thereby improving transparency and sheen. It affects the elegance of shaving gel, hair styling gel, and hand wash gel in cosmetic formulation. It improves the clarity of pharmaceutical syrup formulations.
The Castor Oil product line reduces solvent volatility. It can be used to extend the shelf life of volatile substances such as aftershave lotion, perfumes, etc.
The Castor Oil series enhances film formation and fluid dynamics. Castor Oil is prescribed for use in cream, lotion, and lipstick, among other products, in order to increase their ability to form a film.
Castor Oil masks the unpleasant taste and fragrance of common pharmaceutical formulations, such as syrups and suspensions containing alcohol, such as artemether and lumefantrine suspension.
Castor Oil reduces the adhesion and chipping capacities of oil. Similar to numerous pharmaceutical and cosmetic (creams and lotions, hair lubricants, etc.) formulations, its application imparts a silky feel.
Castor Oil increases the solubility of the propellant in aerosol in aqueous phase.
